Sometimes, a blood transfusion is the difference between life and death. Our specialist and emergency veterinary centre offers a dedicated canine and feline blood bank to provide life-saving transfusions to pets in need.
If your pet meets the requirements listed below, fill out our registration form to join the MediPaws blood donor programme. Our team will contact you when a donation is needed.
When you bring your pet into MediPaws, they will first receive a health check to ensure they are fit to donate. This is followed by a light sedation so they remain comfortable throughout the procedure.
You’re welcome to stay with your pet for any part of the visit if you prefer. Our team will carefully monitor them during the donations and recovery to make sure they are feeling well before heading home.
