Dr Mayara Galetti

BVetMed

Mayara graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine from the Universidade de Santo Amaro in Brazil in 2012. After completing a two-year, full-time surgery training program at the Universidade Anhembi Morumbi teaching hospital, she worked as a Veterinary Surgeon for two years in private practice.

In 2016, Mayara decided to move to Australia for a year, and she quickly fell in love with the country. She joined Eye Clinic for Animals as a Veterinary Nurse, where she worked for over four years becoming Head Nurse, before passing her exams to be recognised as a Veterinarian in Australia in 2023.

After obtaining her Australian qualification, Mayara completed a multidisciplinary internship at Sydney Veterinary Emergency and Specialists Hospital. She then pursued an Ophthalmology Internship and residency at Eye Clinic for Animals.

Mayara’s passion for animals extends beyond her professional role. She is a proud parent to two charming Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
