Give your clients peace of mind with our fixed price services billed directly to your clinic.

Designed for our referring veterinary partners, our Peace of Mind Packages are a seamless extension of your care. When a patient needs overnight monitoring but not full hospitalisation or referral, our experienced emergency and critical care team stabilises and monitors them, then returns them to your care the next morning with a detailed handover.

What Is Our Peace of Mind Package?

This package is primarily nurse-led care and is designed for patients who meet the criteria for overnight hospitalisation in your clinic, but where additional monitoring is desired and as an extension of your care — for your peace of mind and your client’s. Some examples of cases that may fit the package are post op monitoring and pain management, simple GI patients that have had work up and are stable, pre-operative fluid therapy.

Our aim is for the patient to be returned to your care the following morning. Discharges home are to be completed by your clinic after they return to your care. 

In the unlikely event of clinical deterioration overnight, we will initiate appropriate treatment and advise the client. We will then contact you the following morning to discuss the case and confirm how you would like to proceed with care for the day.

Price Billed to Your Clinic: $580

What’s Included:

  • Direct handover from your clinician to our ECC clinician over the phone prior to transfer or via completion of our online form
  • Assessment by our experienced ECC clinician upon arrival to the clinic
  • Two full sets of vitals during the stay
  • Continuous monitoring from our emergency team throughout the night
  • Up to three injectable medications to be provided and administered by us (if required)
  • Oral medications to be dispensed by Referring Vet and administered by us as requested
  • IV fluid therapy including care of existing IV catheter or up to one replacement catheter
  • Full summary sent back to your clinician at discharge

Package Requirements:

  • Referring vet to call ahead to discuss the case and its suitability
  • Referring vet to provide the treatment plan and any oral medication that is required
  • Patient admission time is after 5pm
  • Package to be billed to the referring clinic. Consent to be signed by the owner prior to transfer (if referring vet transporting) or at time of admission at our clinic (if owner transporting)
  • The patient can be transported from our clinic back to yours by either your clinic staff or the client directly between 8-10 am the following morning

BOAS Post-Operative Overnight Monitoring

Price billed to your clinic: $980

The BOAS Post-Operative Overnight Monitoring package is designed for stable, elective brachycephalic airway surgery patients who would benefit from dedicated overnight monitoring during the higher-risk recovery phase.  

This package includes all features in the standard Overnight Hospitalisations package and adds the following inclusions: 

Additional inclusions:

  • Overnight post-operative hospitalisation in our ICU.
  • Focused monitoring of airway patency, respiratory effort, and recovery from anaesthesia from our skilled emergency team.
  • Ongoing comfort assessment and pain management.
  • Prompt veterinary review should post-operative airway concerns arise (owner will be contacted to be advised of additional costs).

What's excluded

To ensure the best outcomes, this package is not suitable for the following circumstances:

  • Non-elective or emergency BOAS surgery, including procedures performed due to an acute obstructive episode or respiratory crisis.
  • Patients who require oxygen therapy (this shouldn’t be required after the immediate post operative period).
  • Patients diagnosed with or suspected of aspiration pneumonia.
  • Patients with significant comorbidities requiring active medical management or enhanced monitoring beyond our Peace of Mind Packages, including but not limited to:
      • Advanced or unstable cardiac disease.
      • Significant seizure disorders or high seizure risk.
      • Other systemic illness deemed by the attending veterinarian to necessitate higher-level care.

In these cases, a tailored treatment and monitoring plan with an individualised estimate will be discussed to ensure appropriate patient safety.
