Nicole was born and raised in tropical Singapore, where she spent the first eighteen years of her life. Her zest to share her life with animals lead her to foster kittens and puppies, volunteer as a stable hand with the Singapore Polo Club and even extern with the Singapore Zoo. Training to be a Veterinarian was the only natural next step. 

 

After graduating from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree in 2018, Nicole jumped wholeheartedly into busy Emergency practice in Sydney with absolutely zero regrets. She has been an ECC clinician ever since, picking up a range of complementary skillsets and collecting post-graduate degrees along the way.

 

Nicole’s professional interests lie in detail-oriented Intensive Care Medicine and the art of endoscopically removing Oesophageal-Gastro-Duodenal Foreign Bodies. Her proud portfolio of removed foreign bodies includes string, sewing needles, fishhooks, a ping-pong ball, a small Kong ball and a breastfeeding nipple shield.  

 

Outside of MediPaws, Nicole finds relaxation in reformer pilates, saunas and cold-plunges and the occasional bouldering session. Her inability to pick and stick with one single hobby has led her to learn how to make vinyl stickers, concrete home decor and knitwear amongst many other things. Her latest obsession is making home-made Biltong.
