I was born and raised in Milan, Italy, and I moved to Australia in 2017 to pursue my passion for veterinary medicine. I first completed a Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Biology with a focus on wildlife disease and conservation and was fortunate to gain extensive research experience especially on Koala health. I then went on to complete my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree graduating in 2025. Throughout my studies, I worked as a vet nurse first in general practice and then in emergency at the Sydney University Teaching Hospital. I found the transition into emergency and critical care especially stimulating – I loved the diversity of cases, the fast-paced environment, and the challenge of managing critically unwell patients and taking care of their families during stressful situations. While demanding, it was also incredibly rewarding, and this experience inspired me to dive straight into Emergency medicine as a junior vet. 

Outside of work, I enjoy keeping busy with multiple hobbies. I can be found playing beach volleyball and indoor volleyball most weekends, I love exploring Sydney’s beautiful natural surroundings and going on hikes. I also love music, dancing salsa, cooking and baking all the italian goods, and getting creative with arts and crafts. A fun fact: between graduating and starting my first job at Medipaws I completed the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, a 900km journey across Spain. I had walked part of it at the end of highschool and it was the experience that that gave me the confidence to study veterinary medicine on the other side of the world. At the end of my 8-year-long study journey it only made sense to close the circle and complete the whole camino and find inspiration for this next chapter of my career.
