Dr Alex Moore completed her veterinary science degree at Murdoch University in Perth in 2017. She returned to Sydney’s Northern Beaches to work as a small animal general practitioner before heading back to Perth to undertake an internship and ACVD dermatology residency. Alex joined the Veterinary Dermatology Clinic in 2023 and became a board-certified veterinary dermatologist in 2024.

She enjoys all aspects of dermatology and has a special interest in allergic skin disease and immunotherapy. Her research on bee and wasp desensitisation in dogs was recognised with the ACVD Resident Research Award at the North American Veterinary Dermatology Forum (NAVDF) in Seattle, 2023.

When she’s not in clinic, Alex is often outdoors — strolling the coast, swimming in ocean rockpools, or discovering new cafes with her pug, Olive. She’s also a reformer Pilates and hot yoga enthusiast, albeit an inconsistent one.
